The Alliance for Biking and Walking was founded in 1996 as the Thunderhead Alliance after a meeting of grassroots bicycle and pedestrian advocates at the Thunderhead Ranch in Wyoming. Growing from a meeting of 20 people to a national coalition of several hundred organizations, the Alliance pursued a mission to create, strengthen, and unite state and local bicycle and pedestrian advocacy organizations. Upon ceasing operations in 2016, the Alliance transferred its archives to the League of American Bicyclists, which will continue to pursue the mission of the Alliance for Biking and Walking by delivering services to the hundreds of advocacy organizations that are members of the League of American Bicyclists.<\/p>\n

The Winning Campaigns workbook and campaign blueprint worksheet are available in English and Spanish. The Winning Campaigns Training is designed to aid advocacy organizations in the development of effective advocacy campaigns.<\/p>\n
